Art Foundations for 6th, 7th & 8th Grade Students

 

Middle school students interested in getting a head start on their high school art classes are invited to attend a Wednesday evening class geared toward building new skills in drawing and painting. The content of the course will introduce you to contour drawing techniques along with some color and composition skill building. Students will leave with an impressive series of finished drawings.

 

This unique class is intended to jumpstart your high school experience and enhance the quality and range of the work you will produce in your future classes. If you choose to attend Pius XI, exemplary students can use their class work to exempt the 1st semester of art fundamentals with instructor consent.

 

Prerequisite: Interest in art; no previous experience is needed
(Note, this class is also open to students who have taken previous classes at Pius XI, expanding on and adding to your previous work.)

Dates: Wednesday, February 18th- April 1st
Time: 5:30 PM –7:30 PM
Painting workshop 9:00-12:00, Saturday, March 21st

 

Cost: $275 + $25 supply fee (Please make check payable to Pius XI High School)
