Dance Workshop
(open to students entering 4th–12th grade)
This week-long workshop is for boththe beginner and the experienced dancer. Classes are divided into experience groups for all technique classes, offering individual and specialized training in Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Tap, and PrePointe. In this workshop participants will learn:
- Professional, safe technique in all dance styles
- Strategies and practices to enhance performance quality
- Healthy eating habits, audition preparation, careers in dance, and injury prevention and care through daily presentations
A snack is provided for Session 1 and lunch is
provided for Session 2 each day and the workshop
concludes with a performance on Friday.
The Performing Arts Academy Dance Workshop will be taught by Tina Wozniak, Pius XI Dance Department director, and Renee Mrzyglod, ballet director of the Academy of Dance Arts in Wisconsin.
