Musical Theater Workshop

(open to students entering 4th–9th grade)

This workshop allows students to work on a segment from a popular musical theater play (this year, High School Musical!) and present their performance to an invited audience at the conclusion of the workshop on Friday. There will be both singing and non-singing roles so everyone should feel welcome. In this workshop participants will:

• Experience all aspects of musical theater
• Become aware of the relationship between the individual actor/singer and the group
• Be introduced to choreography
• Perform for a live audience at the conclusion of the session

The Performing Arts Academy Musical Theater Workshop is co-taught by members of the award-winning Pius XI Performiong Arts Department. Please note the Friday performance will be presented at 12:00 PM in the Pius XI Black Box Theater.
