Accomplishments:

I am celebrating 25 years of teaching at Pius High School 2007-2008.
- I taught a class on Differentiated Instruction to Pius faculty in May 2007.
- I help run the 8th grade math scholarship competition annually.
- I have worked with student teachers and education majors, and have been a mentor to first-year teachers at Pius.
- I enjoy watching my son during his sporting activities, as well as watching my students during their sports competitions.
- I love to eat out with my husband and I love to play with my puppy, Missy.
- I complete electronic Sudoku puzzles, as well as other word and number puzzles.
- I cut hair, crochet, read romance or mystery novels, and relax in the swimming pool.
- I chauffeur my children to school, work and other activities.
- I love to bake desserts, especially apple pie and cookies.
- I enjoy getting together with my extended family.
Community Involvement and/or Service Work:
I contribute money to the American Brain Tumor Association. I make barbeque for the St. Vincent de Paul meal program. I donate baked goods for various occasions at my parish, St. James in Menomonee Falls. I donate to the Sussex food pantry and other charities through church. I participate in many Pius fundraisers, as well as donate time and money to Pius. I also take care of finances for my in-laws.
In 30 words or less, please describe your personal teaching style.
I engage my students through questioning, individual and paired practice, small group work, and game playing. I incorporate homework, projects, and other assessments as I promote an individual’s responsibility for his/her own learning.
Briefly explain how you integrate your faith and Catholic values into your teaching.
I lead by example during liturgical celebrations at Pius. I support the Thanksgiving drive and other collections at Pius. I encourage my students to be respectful of others and to lend a helping hand.
