The Counseling Center Program is designed to:
- Allow you to grow in your ability to succeed in personal and social relationships.
- Gain real world experience in a career path of interest.
- Learn professional and career skills that will carry through to employment and college settings.
Personal & Family Relations
In this one-semester course you will examine relationships within a family as well as other personal relationships. You will learn about the influences that affect individual development and well-being throughout life. We will address everyday questions about various relationships. You will explore factors, conditions, and needs which are parts of life for all families. Some of the topics included are Family Foundation, Divorce/Remarriage, Dating and Skillful Parenting.
Senior Internship Program
Looking for a great opportunity to get your feet wet in a profession/career that interests you? This program offers you the chance to see if you like a profession and at the same time learn and sharpen some skills for your future. While you gain “real” work experience outside of school you will also participate in classroom activities both independently and in small groups. Some of these activities include: resume preparation, interviewing skills, team building activities and career research. While on the job, you will be mentored and evaluated by your employer. This course is open to seniors who are current with their credit requirements for graduation. Students are admitted with department approval.
