Pius XI High School believes that participation in interscholastic athletics provides a means for student-athletes to demonstrate talents and abilities, gain the respect of others and self, mature personally and develop important skills that evolve from working together with teammates. We believe the values that result from school-sponsored interscholastic athletic competition include:
  • Socialization
  • Building of Self-Esteem
  • Development of a Sense of Responsibility
  • Development of a Sense of Commitment
  • Provision for Exploration and Expansion of Interests

WISCONSIN INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (WIAA)

Pius XI High School is a member school of the WIAA. As such, we are bound to follow all rules as established by the WIAA and its member schools. Individuals wanting to read the rules in their entirety may access them on the WIAA website at http://www.wiaawi.org/.

 

 

 

CLASSIC 8 CONFERENCE     
Pius XI High School is a member of the Classic 8 Conference comprised of the following schools:

  • Mukwonago
  • Pius XI
  • Wales Kettle Moraine
  • Waukesha Catholic Memorial
  • Waukesha North
  • Waukesha South
  • Waukesha West

Woodland Conference   

 Pius XI High School will be entering the Woodland Conference for all sports begining in the Fall of 2012. The Woodland Conference is comprised of two divisions with the following set-up:

   West Division

  • Greendale
  • Pewaukee
  • New Berlin Eisenhower
  • New Berlin West
  • Wauwatosa West
  • Pius XI

   

   East Division

  • St. Francis
  • Cudahy
  • South Milwaukee
  • Brown Deer
  • Whitnall
  • Shorewood
  • Greenfield

 *** All schools play a Divisional Schedule and will have cross-over games with the other Division.

(Divisions only exist in the sports of Football, Girls/Boys Basketball, Girls/Boys Tennis, Girls Volleyball, Softball, and Baseball. All other sports play as one Division.
