Baseball first became a program at Pius XI in 1948 and since has been one of the most successful boys programs winning 13 Conference Championships and four  State Championships. In 2001, Pius XI Baseball became the first private high school to win a summer baseball state championship in WIAA history!

Baseball is a summer sport with the season begining mid-May and running through mid-July. Baseball is a cut sport which keeps between 15-18 players on a team. Our off season program consists of speed and weight training, as well as open gyms beginning in February. We have a number of informational meetings throughout the year. Camp and other vital information is also distributed throughout the year via email.

Pius XI Baseball prides itself on fundamentals, hard work, dedication, and discipline. We expect not only to compete everyday, but to win and achieve our team goals.

Kevin Kehoss

Returning for his 11th year, Kehoss was named 2001 Coach of the Year and is currently 13 games away from his 200th win. He is assisted by pitching coach Henry Teetz, outfield coach Randy O’Connell, infield coach Kevin Kowalke, and hitting/bench coach Herb Pundsack.

The junior varsity staff consists of head coach Vince Breider, assisted by former Pius XI baseball standouts Sean Saglin and Zac Feerick. Dave Pangallo runs the freshmen team with Pius XI alumni Peter Behnke and Dominic Salinas.
