At Pius XI High School each school day begins
with prayer and includes opportunities for worship and reflection. Under the
guidance of Campus Ministry, students prepare and participate in monthly
all-school liturgies. Several times each
semester students attend a smaller Eucharistic liturgy with their Theology
classes.
Students also have classroom experiences
centered on Catholic traditions such as the Stations of the Cross, The Rosary,
Meditation and The Labyrinth. In addition, the Pius XI chapel is available to
students and staff for private prayer.
Students have the opportunity participate in an expanded retreat program
including: an all- freshman overnight, sophomore retreats related to moral
decision making, and junior/senior retreats during which students consolidate
the meanings of their high school experiences.
Pius is also offering Kairos retreats
for the first time this year.
