BOOK CLUB

Book Club is a new club this year and it’s really taking off!  This group meets every other Wednesday morning to discuss books that they have  chosen to read.  Anyone can join and the books chosen aren’t too difficult to read. People in Book Club usually bring treats to the meetings. It’s a great way to start off a Wednesday morning before school and find an outlet to read interesting books!

An example of a book we read this past year is “Born on a Blue Day: Inside the Extraordinary Mind of an Autistic Savant,” written by Daniel Tammet.  In addition to reading books, the Book Club plans other activities such as a Christmas party and a fundraiser for the Thanksgiving Drive – possibly even a book drive!  Lastly, a list of books is being compiled that the club did not choose to read, but still find to be great books.
