NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

The National Honor Society at Pius XI High School is part of the Oak leaf chapter and has been an active organization for many, many years. We are part of the national group that has been in existence since the 1920’s. Students are invited to apply if they are sophomores or juniors and have a cumulative grade point of 3.500 or better. They are selected to become members by a group of 5 Pius teachers, which is in accordance with the rules of the national organization.

National Honor Society is a service organization, but we have completed fund raising events in the past and have one more planned for late spring, 2008. Members are encouraged to participate in and promote service opportunities for their church, for their community, and for their school.

Recent service accomplishments include:

ü      Bell ringing and general assistance to the Salvation Army during the Christmas seasons.
