The Years’ Alliance is meant to be an outlet for students of differing age groups to meet on common ground and get to know each other, as well as share opinions on things that matter to them.
YA hosts many activities promoting freshman, sophomore, junior and senior interaction; one such activity is TAC Buddy Day, a pairing of two TACs where students of different grade levels meet and interact with each other. Another activity is known as Discussion Table. This is an opportunity for any and all students to join YA for discussion about topics that matter to the students. Students are given the chance to speak out on any issue -- it may be about the dress code, or a specific question about a particular class. Because of Student Forum’s new open door policy, the YA is also able take any discussion item pertaining to the school to Forum for review and consideration. In that way, unity is promoted by students making an argument together.
