Development, Special Events & Fundraising
The Institutional Advancement office seeks a pool of volunteers interested in fundraising, event-planning and participating in special projects. Certain projects can be completed at home; others must be done at school, which offers the benefit of meeting new friends with a common goal.

Additionally, parents are needed to serve as liaisons between Pius XI and grade schools and parishes. To learn more about becoming a

Pius XI Athletic Association (PAA)
The Pius XI Athletic Association serves to support Pius' athletic programs. Its primary objectives are to provide a basis of financial support, act as a vehicle for communication and promote a positive spirit within Pius XI and the broader community. Volunteer opportunities include fundraising projects (helping with concessions at events, serving as a parking lot attendant during State Fair, producing and selling program books, selling (and buying) spiritwear and ger, assisting to organize tournaments, etc.), game management services, communication and public relations activities, and activities to promote school spirit. Opportunities for involvement include selling advertising for the programs, program production, ticket sales, costume assistance, refreshments at performances, selling calendars, organizing the celebration picnic, etc. Contact
Kevin Schwartz for additional information.
Music Parents Association
The Music Parents Association assists the Pius XI music department to plan, organize and implement fundraisers and trips to national competitions. Additionally, this group helps to promote the many concerts and performances during the year. Volunteers are "instrumental" in planning and implementing special programs and events. Contact
Bonnie Scholz for additional information.
Pius Parents for the Visual Arts (PPVA)
The PPVA provides hands-on support for students in the Pius XI visual arts program. The group meets Wednesday evenings at the school where they help to mat, back and finish-off student artwork. PPVA provides a great forum for parents of art students to network, get inside information about scholarship programs, and offer extra support to their children. Contact Pat Frederick for additional information.
