ADMISSIONS

Admissions Process
Incoming freshman are required to take a placement test, which helps the school administration and faculty to determine the appropriate level of courses for each student. This exam was held Friday, November 2, 2007 for the incoming class of 2012. Pius does not charge a fee to take the test. Test results are accepted from other Catholic high schools, although academic excellence scholarships are only offered to the top four students who test at Pius XI on the November date. Please contact Counseling Services if you missed this date and need to schedule an alternate date to take the test.

Transfer Process
Students transferring from other high schools are considered for enrollment on a case-by-case basis. Students wishing to transfer to Pius XI must submit a completed pre-admission form (available from Counseling Services), as well as transcripts and most recent report card from the current school. These materials are reviewed by both the director of guidance and dean of students, and the family is invited to interview with representatives from guidance and administrative departments. During the interview a determination is made for admittance. For information, contact Sue Linski at (414) 290-8145.
