Fine Arts Education and Performance
Fine arts are an excellent opportunity for students to grow in their own self confidence, creative expression, and God-given talents – whether or not they have explored the arts prior to enrollment.
At Pius XI, we nurture young scholars and artists alike to find ways to share their creativity and grow in their own journeys. This guidance is vital to the emotional and spiritual growth in many of our students.
Renowned Arts Programs
Pius XI Catholic High School is highly regarded for its extraordinary achievement in fine arts education and presentation through its Performing and Visual Arts programs.
The program is recognized nationally as one of the best and has produced five Presidential Scholars and numerous merit and scholarship awards through the YoungArts Competition (ARTS), the nation’s most prestigious art award.
Hands-On Immersion Approach
Our community offers a unique arts education unlike any other found in parochial schools in the region.
Students work in collaboration with faculty and its a hands-on immersion approach – one that encourages students to challenge their perceptions and explore opportunities outside of their comfort zones.
Nationally Recognized Faculty
We are proud to have passionate educators with respected professional affiliations push and guide students towards a deeper appreciation and commitment to the fine arts as both practitioners and celebrants.
Our arts faculty have been recognized as among the best in the country, holding numerous accolades and prestigious invitations.
In fact, the art faculty has been recognized by invitation to the White House five times since 1995, and has been recognized for excellence by the Education Department of Harvard University and the International Network of Performing and Visual Arts Schools.
Students Poised for Success
Many of our arts students continue on to post-secondary education in the arts, winning thousands of dollars in scholarships and entering some of the most prestigious institutions in the nation.
While enrolled at Pius XI, they are often recognized, both regionally and nationwide, with both accolades and having their work hung in the Milwaukee Art Museum.
