Prayer and Liturgy

Prior to the beginning of each school day, members of the Pius XI Catholic High School community gather in our Chapel at 7:20 am to share in daily Scripture and prayer. Everyone is welcome to attend these prayer sessions.

During the School Day

We begin each school day with prayer and pause mid-day for the Daily Examen.  The Daily Examen is a practice that allows for quiet reflection and discernment focused on…

  • Becoming aware of God’s presence.
  • Reviewing the day with gratitude.
  • Paying attention to your emotions.
  • Choosing one feature of the day and praying from it.
  • Looking toward tomorrow.

Students also have classroom experiences centered on Catholic traditions such as the Stations of the Cross, The Rosary, Meditation, and The Labyrinth. In addition, the beautiful Pius XI chapel is available to students and staff for private prayer.

Daily-designated Mods provide opportunity for guided meditation.

Our Community prays for you – and with you

Prayer Requests are always welcome and may be sent directly to

Students, Faculty, Staff, Parents and Alumni are always invited to attend.

and All Together.

Under the guidance of Campus Ministry, student teams prepare and participate in monthly all-school liturgies. These all-school Masses are held at designated dates at 8 am in our Field House.
