Incoming Freshman Applicant (Class of 2028)
Class of 2028 Admissions Application Deadline: November 6, 2023
After a completed admissions application is submitted, the following documents must be sent to the Pius XI Admissions Office via admissions@piusxi.org by November 22.
Admissions decisions will be communicated the first week of January 2024.
- In order to be considered for admissions, your student's application must be in Applied status by November 6.
- Complete the online admissions application (click Apply Now button below)

- Submit a non-refundable Application Fee of $35 (you will be prompted to enter a credit card at the end of the online application).
- Complete Pius XI School Recommendation Form (located on the Ravenna HUB screen)
- Complete student essay through the Pius XI admissions application.
- Complete the Pius XI Entrance Exam. Applicants will sign up for the test through the admissions application. Entrance exams will take place Saturday, October 28 & Saturday, November 11. (Time for both dates: 9-11:30am)

- Applicant's full 6th and 7th grade report cards
- Most recent 8th grade report card
- Middle school standardized test scores (MAP, STAR, FORWARD, IOWA, I-READY)

All students interested in applying to Pius XI Catholic High School as a transfer applicant are required to submit a complete Transfer Admission Portfolio.

International Applicant
Pius XI has welcomed international students wishing to study abroad for anywhere between one year and all four years of high school. Students have come from all across the globe, including Spain, China, Vietnam, Germany, Brazil and Saudi Arabia. We partner with various agencies and exchange programs, including Wisconsin International Academy (WIA). WIA is an innovative, residential program for Chinese students studying at American high schools. By partnering with Pius XI Catholic High School, WIA provides opportunities for students to develop their English skills and to learn about American culture through both classroom learning and interactive extra-curricular activities.

- Transcript from last three years of school
- Financial Statement
- Copy of Passport
- Student Interview
- Students not applying through the Wisconsin International Academy must secure housing/host family and provide that information to Pius XI Catholic High School.
How to Create a Ravenna Account (Freshman, Transfer & International Applications)
We advise using a computer, laptop or iPad for Ravenna. Cell phones do not offer full functionality.
If you would like to register for an event after you apply...
- Click the gold "Apply Now" button above. You will be redirected to Ravenna where you will create an account using an email address and password. (Note - If you are a returning family with an existing Ravenna account, you can log in using your email and existing password. If you need to add a new student to your account, you are able to do so.)
- You will be asked some simple demographic and school history questions. When completed, you will be directed to the Ravenna Dashboard.
- From the Dashboard screen, choose the green button that says ‘Apply to a School’. Choose Milwaukee as your region, and Pius XI Catholic High School will be one of the school options.
- Once you have chosen Pius XI Catholic High School, you will choose the "Apply’" button.
- You will then complete the admissions steps (as found above - Freshman Applicant, Transfer Applicant, International Applicant).
If you would like to register for an event after you apply...
- Once you have gone thru the "Apply" page for Pius XI, you can go back to the Ravenna Dashboard Page where you will see your student’s name. Click on the student name and you will see Pius XI Catholic High School next to a ‘View Steps and Events’ Button.
- Click the ‘View Steps and Events’ Button. You will be redirected to a screen with information about the application process and upcoming events. Please wait at least 15 seconds for this screen to refresh. Scroll down this page and you will see various events available for registration, including Admissions Overview Events, Open House, and Shadow Days. You will be sent an automatic email with details of your registration.
