Pius XI Catholic High School is excited to announce that it will be offering school-based mental health services in partnership with Children’s Wisconsin. Thanks to the generosity of The Charles E. Kubly Foundation, Pius XI is in the process of adding a dedicated mental health professional to serve Pius XI students on site during the school day beginning this semester. The below guidelines must be adhered to by all in attendance at any Pius XI Catholic High School home football game. Violation of these guidelines may result in removal from the stadium. Please read the guidelines closely. |
Late yesterday evening, September 22, at the Pius XI football game at Milwaukee Lutheran High School an active shooter incident occurred that required the involvement of local law enforcement. Pius XI leaders have spoken with leaders at Milwaukee Lutheran High School and are working closely with the City of Milwaukee Police Department. Read the full news release here. |

Pius XI Catholic High School is excited to announce John Pfaffl ‘84 as the school’s new Athletic Director. Mr. Pfaffl is a Pius XI Catholic High School alumnus who spent the last 35 years at Cardinal Stritch University. Since 2010, he served as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach and Assistant Athletic Director where he compiled an outstanding record (65% winning percentage). His teams regularly appeared in the NAIA basketball tournament. He was selected on several occasions as Coach of the Year for the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we are proud of the work our students and faculty are doing to break the stigma around mental health. Recently, we had the opportunity to work with Spectrum News 1 Wisconsin as they spent an afternoon in the life of a Pius XI student to discuss the value of mental health support and awareness in schools. Take a look at the video to hear from Counselor Suzanne Lovinus, and Jariel Ramos ‘24, student leader of our REDgen Chapter, as they share the importance of breaking the stigma around mental health. |
