Meet Coach Mazza
My name is Ryan Mazza, and I'm excited to join the Pius XI Boys Soccer program as the new Head Coach — helping develop student-athletes both on and off the field.
Playing & Coaching Background
I graduated from Brookfield East High School before continuing my soccer career at Wisconsin Lutheran College, where I competed at the collegiate level. After my playing career, I coached at Brookfield East High School before returning to Wisconsin Lutheran College, where I served as Head Assistant Coach during the 2024–25 season.
I've also coached at Elmbrook United, where I was fortunate to help our teams achieve real success — including the US Youth Soccer President's Cup in 2025 and the Wisconsin State Cup in 2026, earning a trip to the US Youth Soccer National Championships.

I believe in creating a competitive, positive environment where players are challenged to grow as athletes, teammates, and leaders. I'm passionate about player development, building strong team culture, and helping every player reach their full potential.

Competitive Excellence The Pius XI boys soccer program has earned recognition through consistent performance in conference and state competition. The Popes have made multiple appearances in WIAA regional and sectional tournaments, demonstrating their ability to compete at the highest levels of Wisconsin high school soccer. Their success reflects the program's commitment to technical development, tactical awareness, and physical conditioning.

The team's achievements extend beyond wins and losses, as the program has produced numerous All-Conference selections, academic all-state honorees, and student-athletes who have continued their soccer careers at the collegiate level.
