One of our five core values is “Community” and it truly takes everyone in our community to help make Pius XI a welcoming, supportive, and enriching environment. There are a number of organizations and events that provide critical support to the school and we encourage you to get involved, donating your time, talents, and treasures, as you are able. Below are eight ways to get involved at Pius XI. There are certainly more, but this will give you a good idea of how you can help. 1. Popes Parent Organization (PPO): The PPO is committed to enhancing the academic, emotional and spiritual growth of our children by promoting a welcoming, supportive and inclusive community. Help plan events and fundraisers that provide opportunities to connect and support our faculty and staff. See the Family Newsletter for monthly meeting times. 2.  Pius XI Parent Producers (PPP): Support our Performing Arts by volunteering your time to work performances and help plan fundraising events. Watch the Family Newsletter for monthly meeting times. Reach out to PPP@piusxi.org for more information.
    

3.  Athletics Support: Is your child representing the Mighty Popes as an athlete? Look for communication from their coaches regarding team fundraisers and volunteer opportunities. Pius XI Athletics is also looking for sponsors willing to advertise in the Sitzberger Field House or at the golf outing in late July. 4. Student Clubs: With more than 25 clubs to choose from, students have a lot of opportunities to connect with their peers. Club moderators may have opportunities for families to support their efforts. Look for more information as the school year unfolds or contact Student Life Coordinator Grace Vogel at gvogel@piusxi.org to be connected to club moderators.
    

5. Popesfest presented by MacGillis Law Group , LLC - Saturday, September 26, 2026: Mark your calendar and plan to join us in late September for a festival featuring music, food and fun powered by Pius XI alumni businesses. You’ll find it all in the Pius XI parking lot from 2:00 - 7:00pm. Sponsorship opportunities are available; reach out to Alumni Director Dan Carey at dcarey@piusxi.org for more information. 6. GIVE XI Day - Wednesday, November 11, 2026: One of our biggest fundraising days of the year, GIVE XI Day encourages current students and families, alumni, and friends to give what they can—whether it’s $11 or $11,000—to help support the POPES Fund. Our goal this year is to raise more than $90,000 to support the People, Opportunities, Programs, Experiences and Supplies that help make a Pius XI education special and enriching. Watch for ways you can participate!
    

7. Spring Auction Celebration - Thursday, May 6, 2027: The Auction raises funds to help provide tuition assistance to deserving students. Save the date and look for more information later this fall with sponsorship opportunities, as well as a wish list for silent auction and raffle donations. Want to join the Auction Committee? 8. Fr. Carney Memorial Golf Outing - July 28, 2026: It’s not too late to gather a foursome and register for the golf outing. Sponsors and silent auction/raffle donations are also needed. Proceeds benefit Pius XI Athletics. Check out https://www.piusxi.org/golfouting for more information.
    

9. Attend All-School and Weekly Masses: Parents and family members are always welcome to attend our all-school Masses and weekly Masses in the Chapel, as well as our various assemblies. Watch the Family Newsletter for more information.
    

10. Donate School Supplies: Students and teachers can always benefit from additional supplies. Some of the most requested items includes: facial tissue (allergy and cold season can be rough), low scent dry erase/white board markers, basic ball point pens and #2 pencils, sticky notes, index cards, and adhesive bandages (“band-aids”). Extra supplies can be dropped off at the Main Office or with Ms. Cheri Kosmatka (Ms. K) at the main entrance.
     

11. Dance Chaperones: From time-to-time our Student Life Coordinator will request volunteers to assist with chaperoning dances, such as Homecoming and Winterlude. Read the Weekly Family Newsletter for more information on these opportunities.
