Pius XI Poms Shining for Sure!

The Pius XI Poms team put together a standout summer, bringing home hardware from three major competitions before the school year even began.

Badgerette Camp — July

The team opened the summer strong at Badgerette Camp, earning 1st place in Small Varsity Open and 3rd Overall in Small Varsity. Three Popes were also recognized individually as Camp All Stars: Kayleigh Brooks, Imani Smith, and Baylee Stephens.

Badgerette Midwest Championship — August

At the Badgerette Midwest Championship in Illinois, the Poms turned in their strongest showing of the summer:

1st place, Small Varsity Open
2nd place, Small Varsity Kick
2nd place, Small Varsity Competition
2nd place Overall, Small Varsity

The performance earned the team invitations to two prestigious events: the Milwaukee Bucks Extravaganza and the Badgerette Disney All-Star Talent Tour. Individually, sophomore Niya Winston placed 4th in the Sophomore Dance Solo Open division.

Wisconsin State Fair Competition — August

The Poms capped off their summer with a 3rd place overall finish at the WI State Fair Competition.

Coach Karyn Schlachter shared her pride in the team's summer of hard work and is looking forward to keeping the Pius XI community updated as the season continues.
